JONATHAN FERRUCCI PLAYS BACH

The English Suites are a baroque rave. One dance hit after the next, they offer us a window onto Bach’s joy – an unmistakable mixture of infectious rhythm, brave harmonies and impeccable counterpoint, that bring the canon of French baroque dance back to life.

Jonathan Ferrucci is rapidly building a profile as one of the most interesting Bach interpreters out there, with seriousness, talent and dedication. Parallel to his musical career, Jonathan has cultivated a dedicated Ashtanga Yoga practice since his early twenties. He sees deep parallels between music and yoga: both demand focus, patience, and an openness to discovery; both aim to dissolve the barrier between the self and the act of creation. Jonathan integrates yoga into his artistic process not as a separate pursuit, but as a complementary practice that sustains and enriches his musical expression.
